We use fleet to manage our vehicle maintenance program and to track mileage and fueling records. We have a small number of fleet PMs that our mechanic manages work orders through, which are kicked off by the odometer readings that employees enter when getting fuel (we import the fueling records with associated fleet IDs). The ability to track mileage quarterly/annually is really nice too for auditing and financial records.
Organizations using the Fleet module for vehicle expenses and PMs
We are currently using Lucity for a few of our divisions (Using Facilities, Equipment, Storm, Transportation and Work Orders) and thinking about bringing our Fleet division into this as well. Looking for feedback and experiences others may have with this module.

We're using Facilities, Equipment, Storm, Sewer and Fleet. One of our Field Operations staff is responsible for managing the fleet assets. He collects monthly odometer/hour meter readings and coordinates service through interagency resources at the county shop. We had typical services like INSPA (annual DOT), PMA (fluids/filters) PMB (transmission/differential), PMC (12,000 mile), PML (chassis lube), AF (winterize), and PMR (aux. engine service) as applicable. We put very little mileage on our fleet due to our small service District, so I recently consolidated the structure into an annual/5K mile/250 hour PM that captures all the tasks done on roughly that schedule (PMA, PML, AF, INSPA), and a second template for 5 year/12K mile/1500 hour to cover the PMB and PMC. The driver behind the consolidation (pun intended) was to reduce the round trips to the shop.
The multiple PM template triggers kick out a work order whenever any of the criteria are met, so we may be a little early with some work, but I'm saving my most expensive resource - staff time - in transporting vehicles. Hopefully this helps.
Lisa, I have the same request back to you... we're thinking about rolling out Fleet (we use Lucity widely in Public Works already, but held off on Fleet). Can you contact me please - email@example.com Thanks! Sanford Hess | Urbana, IL
