How to Configure Email for Office 365

Lucity SMTP Setup

  1. Go to Windows Start Menu > LucityServices > Lucity Email Setup
  2. Connect to the client you want to configure
  3. In the Lucity Email Setup, type in the Server Address input box ‘smtp.office365.com
  4. For Port Number, type in ‘587
  5. Check the Enable SSL box
  6. For SMTP User and Password, type in your e-mail address and password for the office365 account
  7. Click save and close
  8. In Lucity Administration Tools, go to System > Settings > Email tab and type in your sender e-mail address at the ‘From Email Address’ section

 Note:  port 587 might be blocked.  You can use the GMAIL configuration if that’s the case. 

 

POP3 setup

  1. Go to Windows Start Menu > LucityServices > Lucity Email Setup
  2. Connect to the client you want to configure
  3. Click on the pop3 tab
  4. Make sure pop is enabled in office 365. You can enable in the office 365 admin tools.

  1. In this scenario, we’ll use the defaults. Add in outlook.office365.com and 995 for the port.  Enable TLS.

  1. Save before moving to the next step.
  2. Click on Add
  3. Default Problem code is optional and will tie in your problem code to the e-mail address that you’ve added.
    • Note: You can have several email addresses tied to a problem code.  However, you cannot have one e-mail address tied to several problem codes.
  4. Save, repeat steps 7-8 for each e-mail address where necessary.
